The tracks on this album were recorded live using my Make Noise Shared System, which is a small modular rig, the Jupiter 8, and a few fx pedals. "Stract" uses multi tracking of the Morphagene module. My aim was to use the computer and midi as little as possible, to rely more on my ears. Performing on modular synthesisers can get quite out of control, so each section has to be be practised over and over before recording the whole piece.
